Inside you are welcomed by a sense of luxury, plush greys, purples and neutral tones. They may need to expand the reception area very soon - its walls are already almost covered by award certificates and trophies.
The lounge and bar areas feel equally relaxing, with decor that reminded me of a discrete city cocktail bar - a complete contrast to most local pubs and places to stay. The award winning restaurant, open to non-residents, is truly excellent. I was amazed that such intricate food can be created by the small number of chefs, who remain remarkably calm in the open kitchen which overlooks the main dining area. Much as I love traditional Dales food, sometimes it's good to enjoy a meal full of surprises and unlikely ingredients which fuse together to offer delights more often tasted in proud London restaurants.
Yorebridge House is the perfect place for a romantic escape. It's ideal for anyone who wants a break from the traditional and yet still wants to enjoy Dales villages, landscapes and fresh air. Boutique hotels all seek to be different from each other. Yorebridge certainly stands out within the Yorkshire Dales.
